We’re bringing a new spot to town this November. Vesuvio Pizzeria will serve proper Neapolitan-style pizza at 5 Sarsfield Street, and it’s part of the Bodega Group — so you can expect the same standards you know from Bodega 1830.

A familiar building

Many locals will remember Catalpa in this building. We do too. Vesuvio aims to keep that romantic-Italian feel while offering something new for Clonmel. Great pizza, good wine, and an easy night out.

What to expect

  • Neapolitan dough, done right. Training is underway and the team is dialling in fermentation and bake so the base is light, soft and lightly blistered.
  • Toppings kept simple. Quality ingredients, balanced flavours — no fuss.
  • A proper wine list. We’ll pour food-friendly wines that suit pizza, with a few bigger reds for those who want them.

Where we’re at

We’re perfecting the dough and running through service so everything’s smooth for opening week. We’ll share updates as we go.

When we open

November — exact date to follow. We’ll post soft-launch details and opening times closer to the day.

If you like what we do at Bodega 1830, we think you’ll feel at home at Vesuvio. Keep an eye out for updates and we’ll see you soon at 5 Sarsfield Street, Clonmel.
